Peter, our granddad and founder of the Granite State Candy Shoppe, came to Lawrence, Massachusetts in 1915 from a small Greek island. In Lawrence, Peter found a job as a candy maker.
He also found something else: his life's work. | | | Several years later he moved to Concord, found an old building on Warren St and started making candies the old fashioned way.
He and his wife raised a wonderful family of five children. Two sons, Costa and George, took over when Peter retired, followed by grandsons Mike and Jeff. |
